Terms of Service

Please review these terms before using Ticonus. They explain how the platform works, your responsibilities, and important legal information.

Last updated: June 10, 2025Version: 1.0
Ticonus is a ticketing platform that facilitates the purchase of tickets for live events. Ticket prices are set by event organizers and displayed prior to checkout.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Ticonus's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Ticket Purchases

Tickets are sold for live events hosted by third-party organizers. Ticket prices and availability are set by the event organizer and displayed prior to checkout. Tickets may be subject to service fees and taxes which will be clearly disclosed during the checkout process.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that organizer ticket pricing and platform charges can be presented as separate components (for example, ticket face value, service/processing fees, and applicable taxes).

3. Refund Policy

Refunds are handled based on the event organizer's policies and the event status (for example, canceled, rescheduled, or postponed). Unless required by law or explicitly stated otherwise at checkout, purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

  • Event cancellation. If an event is canceled by the organizer and not rescheduled, we will process refunds for the ticket face value to the original payment method when authorized by the organizer. Where permitted, service fees and other non-ticket charges may be non-refundable.
  • Rescheduled or postponed events. If an event is rescheduled or postponed, tickets typically remain valid for the new date. Refunds (if any) are determined by the organizer and will be communicated to purchasers.
  • Refund timing. Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method. Processing times vary by payment provider and financial institution and may take 5–10 business days (or longer) to appear on your statement.
  • How to request help. If you believe you are eligible for a refund or need assistance with an event status, contact us with your order details via our contact page.

4. Payment Processing

We use secure third-party payment processors (including Stripe and PayPal) to handle transactions. Stripe Connect may be used to route proceeds to event organizers. By making a purchase, you agree to applicable payment processor terms and policies. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Payouts to organizers are subject to Stripe verification, reserves, disputes, refunds, and risk controls. Stripe may delay, withhold, or reverse transfers and payouts.

Connected organizers are required to accept Stripe's connected account terms and complete onboarding/verification before receiving payouts.

5. Fee Transparency

We disclose material platform/service fees before checkout and in order summaries. Organizers can review applicable fee configuration in organizer tooling where available.

6. Marketplace and Organizer Role

Ticonus operates a marketplace platform. Event organizers are responsible for event delivery, event-specific policies, and applicable tax obligations related to ticket sales. We are not a bank.

Ontario-only launch scope: event checkout is currently restricted to Ontario while multi-province expansion work is in progress.

For organizer-specific platform obligations, see our Organizer Terms.

7. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Ticonus reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate our terms of service or are inactive for an extended period.

8. Prohibited Activities

Users are prohibited from engaging in any fraudulent activity, including reselling tickets at inflated prices, creating multiple accounts to circumvent purchasing limits, or using automated systems to purchase tickets.

9. Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy governs the collection and use of your personal information. By using Ticonus, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
